Steam Scraper Evaporator

The evaporation unit can effectively purify various solutions or partially separate dissolved solids via evaporation. Evaporators are adopted for corrosive solutions with high chemical indicator content. In particular, innovative technologies make it possible to treat electroplating wastewater and purify high-mineralization wastewater.

Each type of DCS evaporator is individually calculated according to customer requirements in corresponding industries, determined by the composition of feed liquid (thermal resistance, chemical corrosiveness, temperature drop, viscosity, etc.). The evaporator adopts anti-corrosion structure. Available materials: AISI 304, AISI 316 TI, SAF 2507, Titanium Hastelloy. Materials are selected according to the corrosivity of evaporated product.

Heat Pump Scraper Evaporator how it works

An evaporation unit that concentrates the liquid to a density of 1.4 kg/L:

Fully automatic equipment. Vacuum will be formed once the evaporator starts. Once the required amount of raw liquid is collected, it is transferred into the main tank of the unit through the feed valve. When the boiling chamber reaches the operating liquid level, the heat pump starts operating (thus heating the raw liquid). By means of a pneumatic loading valve, the operating liquid level of the raw liquid in the evaporator is maintained. When the liquid inside the boiling chamber reaches the target density, the waste concentrate will be discharged. The evaporator switches from evaporation mode to concentrate discharge mode, transferring the concentrate into the distillation tank. The final residue is automatically drained from the evaporator by applying overpressure to the boiling chamber in conjunction with pneumatic valves. The unit automatically returns to the mode of drawing in and evaporating new liquid. The boiling point of the raw liquid inside the vacuum evaporator reaches 35–40°C, with an energy consumption of 160 W per liter. Low-energy-consumption models are also available.
